Getting Kids Involved

We are honored and blessed to be able to teach our kids the ways of the world through small business.  As ANY small business owners knows, you are required to wear more than one hat and manage your time accordingly. Especially when your resume also includes a cook, hair stylist, janitor, etc.  But in the end, it is the little daily actions and celebrations that transpire into life lessons.  They say the best way to teach your kids is by example and that is just what we are doing.

Featured in our picture is my son, Camden.  His school in Plainfield IL hosted a Holiday Vendor Fair and Camden and his 2 brothers ran the booth.  Camden has always been a champion at saving his money and cherishing the things he buys.  For these reasons, we think he will be our future CFO.  Camden asked to collect donations for the rescue group we adopted our Pico.  We adopted Pico from H.E.L.P. (Homes for Endangered and Lost Pets) about 10 years ago.  Pico was featured in our recent holiday feeds:

H.E.L.P. is a no-kill, not-for profit organization that is 100% foster based.  Please consider adopotingvolunteering or donating to this well deserved organization.  They have helped so many animals!  🐶🐱🐰🐢🦆

At our Vendor Fair, Camden was able to generate $20 in donations by selling our scrap fleece fabrics for art. We displayed some holiday art we created specifically for the event and sold small bags for $3.  Some of our genurous customers donated a few extra dollars.  If you bought and made everlasting art with your donations, please send us a picture.  We would love to feature your art on our social media.

Are you iterested in accepting fabric donations to use for art?  Do you want to know more about our R.U.F.F. Prgram?  VISIT US for more information.
